Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this beautifully specified 997 Generation II Targa 4S, which is presented in a classic traditional colour combination, and of course has Porsche’s four-wheel drive system as standard. A complete décor strip of anodized and polished aluminium emphasises the elegant lines of the roof, and the 44mm wider body allows the wider rear track and wider tyres to improve transverse acceleration in corners.

During 2009 Porsche updated the 997 line-up including styling changes, and a revised engine with direct fuel injection. As a result, the updated 997 Generation II models were faster, lighter and more fuel efficient than the outgoing versions, with improved handling. The Targa 4S Generation II has the 3,800cc engine, which produces 385 hp and allows a 0-62 mph time of just 4.7 secs. Top speed is 183 mph, where permitted.
The 997 Generation II vehicles received positive reviews from the worldwide motoring press; even British motoring journalist Jeremy Clarkson, a known detractor of Porsche cars, noted that the 997 will "make love to your fingertips and stir your soul."
997 Targas are equipped with a 1.54 sq/m glass roof and hatch. At any speed, the roof can be opened in just 7 secs, to slide back underneath the hatch. When the glass roof is retracted, a small glass deflector is raised above the windshield to aid aerodynamic stability, whilst still retaining a wonderful wind-in-the-hair experience. The glass itself incorporates a UV filter to keep temperatures comfortable in the cabin, letting through only 17 percent of the thermal energy of sunlight. Despite the large glass areas, body rigidity is extremely high and loading comfort is increased thanks to the opening glass rear screen.
Supplied new by Porsche Centre Bournemouth in March 2012, the Targa 4S has benefitted from 5 services all carried out by Porsche main dealers. It has its drivers’ book pack and spare key. A 12-month written warranty will also be included.
