Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this wonderful rare 911 Turbo Targa. It has an ultra-low mileage and looks every inch the 1980’s supercar in its classic colour combination. The 911 Turbo Targa carries Porsche’s unrivalled experience of turbocharging from the racetrack to the road. Outstanding acceleration, cornering and road holding, all reflect Porsche’s heritage. But it is the 911 Turbo’s qualities of endurance and reliability that determine its suitability for everyday use. Its high-performance open-air motoring enabled by simply removing the ingenious folding Targa roof panel brings a unique classic car experience.

The top-of-the-range 911 Turbo provides superior performance, outstanding acceleration and the marque’s characteristically excellent road holding, braking and cornering ability.  Performance is derived from its 3.3 litre air-cooled turbocharged six-cylinder horizontally opposed rear mounted engine. Equipped with exhaust gas turbocharger, it produces an output of 221Kw (300 bhp) at 5,500 rpm. The weight of the car was just 1300 kg.  Maximum torque is 430 Nm at 4,000 rpm. 0-60 mph is achieved in just 5.4 secs and top speed is over 160 mph.

Successful competition cars like the Porsche 917, The Porsche Carrera RSR Turbo, the 935, 936, the 956 and 962 and last, but not least the Formula 1 TAG Turbo engine used by the McLaren team, all illustrate the vast experience amassed by Porsche designers in the sphere of turbocharging. Our Porsche Turbo Targa was supplied by Glen Henderson Porsche in February 1989, and comes with its history file, including the handbook pack and spare keys.
