FERRARI CALIFORNIA GRAND TURISMO 2 + 2, 2009

It was the first Ferrari V8 road car to have a mid-front mounted engine. Built entirely from aluminium, it retains the typical Ferrari architecture with a 90 degree angle between the two cylinder banks and a 180 degree angle between the cranks. The 4,297cc engine has a maximum power output of 460 hp, and maximum torque is 485 Nm at 5,000 rpm. 0 - 60 mph acceleration is achieved in less than 4 seconds and the California has a blistering 193 mph top speed.

The California’s engine sound was carefully developed, and really contributes to the driving pleasure. The trademark thrill is available whether the top is open or closed without compromising on occupant acoustic comfort.

When designing the Ferrari California, Pininfarina opted for a classical, sculpted chassis, with a long bonnet and the passenger area slightly weighted towards the rear. The Ferrari California is ideal for those looking for a highly exclusive sports car, that consider driving enjoyment a value to pursue on every occasion: a weekend out of town, a long journey, shopping in the city, or simply getting to the office.  The retractable hard top differs in that both cover and roof move simultaneously to shorten the cycle time to open and close. Using a concave design for the two sections to fold into, boot space is an impressive 240 litres.

This Ferrari California was supplied new by H.R Owen Ferrari London in December 2009. The service history file is comprehensive, and the last annual service was carried out recently at Meridien Modena Ferrari less than 100 miles ago. The California is complete with its leather driver’s book pack, service invoices, historic MOTs, spare remote key and orginal hardback Ferrari sales brochure.
