DBS entered production in 2007 after a global reveal event at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. As the new flagship for the Aston Martin model range, DBS was designed to represent a synthesis of raw power, race-bred technology and design excellence. Before entering production, DBS appeared as James Bond's car of choice in 'Casino Royale', Daniel Craig's debut in the role released in 2006. The car featured in one of the film's most memorable moments, rolling seven times and setting a new world record. DBS also appeared in the opening sequence of 'Quantum of Solace' the follow up film released in 2008.

Powered by a naturally powered 5935cc V12, all-alloy, quad overhead camshaft, 48-valve aspirated V12 engine, produces a maximum output of 510 BHP, and maximum torque of 420 lb/ft. The top speed is 191 mph, and the DBS accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. The front brakes are ventilated carbon ceramic discs, 398mm diameter with six-piston monobloc calipers, and at the rear it has ventilated carbon ceramic discs, 360mm diameter with four-piston monobloc calipers.

Independent double wishbones incorporating anti-dive geometry, coil springs, anti-roll bar and monotube adaptive dampers at the front, and independent double wishbones with anti-squat and anti-lift geometry, coil springs, anti-roll bar and monotube adaptive dampers at the rear, provide the DBS magical sure-footed handling.
