Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer another exceptional 997 Generation II Carrera 2S manual to the market; this example having been cherished by its former keeper.

The stunning coupe is offered in the desirable Basalt black metallic paint with full black leather interior and has many options that further enhance the Porsche driving experience. The second-generation cars are becoming hugely popular with the 911 enthusiast, especially in relatively rare manual form, as they retain the pure feel of the 911.

The 997 is the most commercially successful Porsche 911 of all time. The styling harked back to the revered Porsche 993 era and was widely acclaimed by seasoned Porsche enthusiasts. The much-loved oval-shaped headlights returned, and the interior was re-designed with new controls, more reminiscent of the classic 911 interiors. The body shape remained low profile, with a drag coefficient of just 0.29 for the Carrera. The 3,800cc Carrera S version offered additional power from its larger engine and enhanced standard equipment.

The Carrera S model was revised in 2008, and gained a new direct fuel injection 3,800cc engine which produced 385 HP, a revised suspension, revised styling, new HID projector headlamps, touch-screen navigation and Bluetooth telephony. It can travel from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of (186mph).

Our car was originally sold in September 2009 by Porsche Centre Glasgow, and has a complete Porsche main dealer service history.  Low mileage examples such as this, attract buyers and enthusiasts looking for the best last-of-the-line 997 series cars. The finest examples of these 997 Generation II cars are widely tipped as modern classics, and we firmly believe they will be soon be held in the same high esteem as their illustrious predecessors.
