At the heart of the 911 GT3 is the engine. A development from motorsport, of course, with even more power than its predecessor. The new 3.8-litre flat-six engine had advanced VarioCam, a system for adjusting the inlet camshafts. This gave more power and higher torque., resulting in 453 bhp at 7,600 rpm. The maximum engine speed was 8,500 rpm and the maximum torque 430Nm at 6,250 rpm.

0-62 mph was reached in just 4.1 seconds, and top speed was 194 miles per hour. Improved driving dynamics and stability were achieved via the optional dynamic engine mounts. This system reduced vibration and the movement of the inert masses in the power unit by automatically modifying the stiffness and damping of the engine mounts.

As with every 911 there’s a beautiful, precise weighting to the controls which makes this car a joy to drive a low speed. The feedback from the steering is brilliantly detailed. Everything that’s critical for use on the racetrack can be adjusted on the chassis, including the settings for height, camber, toe angle and the anti-roll bars on the front and rear axles.

Supplied new by Porsche Centre Hatfield in July 2010, this vehicle has enjoyed Porsche main dealer and Porsche specialist servicing and has a complete history file and warranty.  There is also a recent over test showing zero activity in Range 2 or above. With a recent Porsche specification service including new plugs, front brake discs and pads and rear brake pads, this GT3 Clubsport is all ready for its new owner to enjoy.
