When launched, the 964 was stated to be 85% all-new compared to its predecessor, the Carrera 911 3.2. The 964 series employed a new naturally aspirated engine, the M64, with a flat-6 displacement of 3.6 litres. Maximum power rose to 250 bhp, and the torque figure was 310 Nm at 3,100 rpm. Our car has a Steve Wong engine chip which raises the maximum power output to a remarkable 290 bhp. The sports exhaust provides a sonorous soundtrack to spirited Porsche driving.
Our car was delivered new by Merlin Cambria Porsche in June 1990. There are 9 Porsche dealer stamps and 11 Porsche specialist stamps service book along with accompanying document file for works carried out. It also has its original leather book pack and spare key. Recent works have included a new clutch assembly, brake calipers, new brake pipes, new rear discs and pads, heat exchanger, alternator, starter motor, new engine tinwork, oil pump, air mass sensor conversion kit, cam covers, engine gaskets/bearings/chains, n/s and o/s front wishbones, front and rear anti-roll bars, drive shaft, idle valve and DME relay and Michelin N-rated tyre set. This super air-cooled 964 Cabriolet must be viewed to be fully appreciated.
