Deriving its name from a renowned breed of fighting bulls, the Lamborghini Gallardo was first unveiled at the 2003 Geneva Auto Show, to plenty of fanfare and attention.  At the beating heart of the car lay a thunderous V10 5.0 litre engine producing 500 HP. The engine was developed primarily in-house Just as its larger sibling (the Murcielago) drive is sent to all 4 wheels by a simple viscous-coupling centre with 30:70 torque split between front and rear.  In case of tire slip, up to 50% torque was transmitted to the front wheels. Top speed is an astonishing 201 miles per hour, and the 0-60 mph acceleration takes just 4.2 secs.

Just 20% of the Gallardo production was fitted with the very reliable manual gearbox, which made use of the latest generation double and triple cone synchronizers and optimised actuation linkage to achieve precision and velocity in shifting. The clutch is a reduced diameter double plate clutch. This is a logical consequence of the Gallardo’s engineering car concept definition, to keep the centre of gravity as low as possible.

Originally supplied by Lamborghini London in April 2004, this one owner manual Gallardo has been routinely serviced by official Lamborghini dealers. Evidencing 7 official Lamborghini stamps, the car was last serviced (and cambelt changed) by Lamborghini Leicester at the end of 2021. It is naturally complete with all its tools, leather handbook pack and spare key and will also be supplied with a comprehensive written warranty.

Now available to view at our London showrooms.
