Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer on behalf of a client, a remarkable Aston Martin DB6 Mk 1, which is presented in what can only be described as better-than-new condition.
Vantage magazine described this car in Summer 2015 as “The World’s Best DB6.” This is an original RHD, UK supplied car, which was specified with 3 SU carburettors from new. The subject of a total restoration costing over £250,000 in 2015, the R.S Williams Aston Heritage restoration would cost far more to replicate at today’s prices, (and you would have to wait over two years).
Last sold by Hexagon of Highgate in June 1989 (to The Drambuie Liqueur Company), this special DB6 Vantage has enjoyed long term ownership. Cars as good as this very rarely come to the market. The torque is greatly enhanced from the 4.7 litre engine upgrade, the fast road suspension employs Koni dampers, modern brake pads provide greater stopping power, and power steering with a speed sensor to vary the assistance. All these upgrades transform the feeling of the DB6 Vantage. The satellite navigation hidden behind the DB6’s former radio speaker grille, is quite ingenious. The craftsmanship of the restoration is second-to-none.
Vantage magazine went on to compare this DB6 Vantage Mk1 with Goodwood, “British icons, timeless in their appeal, yet thoroughly modern in their recent reinvention.”
The DB6 Vantage Mk1 is complete with four large history files, which bear testimony to the diligence of the previous owners. The car has covered just 4,000 miles since the restoration, and it has returned to R.S Williams every year for service and MOT. The DB6 Vantage really does want for nothing, and is all ready to be enjoyed by its new owner.
All ready to view at our London showrooms.
